Considered by most to be the ultimate driving machine, the Mach 5 can beat any car on the circuit. Now, Polar Lights is releasing an all-new kit based on Speed Racer's Mach 5!

The Mach 5 model kit has over 75 pieces, and is built in 1:25 scale. Designed for an advanced modeler, this kit is skill level 3. The Mach 5 includes vinyl tires, decals, clear parts (windshield and canopy), chrome parts (wheels and saw blades), and has a detailed engine and interior. The car also includes many different “extras” that were seen on the show, including saw blades, jumper jacks, periscope, robot bird, and canopy cover. Fully licensed by Speed Racer Enterprises, this kit will be going fast – so catch it if you can!

Originally a hit cartoon from Japan, the Speed Racer cartoon became a cult favorite among American audiences in the 1960s. Today, it can be seen in reruns on a variety of channels.
