In his extensive journal-like description of the complcated, futuristc space ship, Hooks makes clear his version of the set-up and inner workings of the control panel, engine room, astrogator system, and reactor using information from the TV series, and going as far as applying the laws of physics to this fictional craft. Detailed charts, illustrations, and equations give any Lost in Space fan guide to building their own ship (nuclear reactor not included).

Jupiter 2 Fix

Oops! We goofed! The hatch, part #24, is upside down! sorry! Here's how to correct it:

Photo 1This shows the the hatch as it comes in the J2 kit. To separate: Using a sharp exacto knife or razor saw, cut the door at the left edge where it joins the tapered wall. Refer to black cutting line shown in the photo. Hint!! For best results, cut from the back side of the piece.

Here we show the hatch properly separated.

 Photo 3

The hatch is now reversed and reattached to the tapered wall using a standard modeling adhesive. Hint!! Test fit hatch to floor before the glue sets hard.

Photo 4Here is a finished comparison. Hatch on the left is incorrect. Hatch on right is in the correct position.
